Mike Ness
Mike Ness (actually Michael James Ness ) ( born April 3, 1962) is an American guitarist and singer. He is the frontman of the punk band Social Distortion.
Life
Ness was born in Stoneham (Massachusetts ) and grew up in Orange County ( California). He was kicked out at age 15 by his parents and came up with drugs and petty crime in contact, but also with the punk movement. In 1978, he founded the band Social Distortion. The band received a contract from 1980 Posh Boy Records and so some singles that later on the album Mainliner ( Wreckage From The Past ) published were summarized.
At this time had become so strong that the band had all but disintegrated Ness ' drug addiction and self-destructive behavior. This phase can also be on the video Another State of Mind, which records a tour of the band, understand.
In the years 1985-87 Ness also played in the rock band Easter, where he appeared in several music videos.
1999 appeared the first solo album by Mike Ness Cheating at Solitaire with the name. Even the music of Social Distortion contained many influences of country music, on Cheating at Solitaire you realize, however, even more Ness ' fondness for this music. The second solo album ( Under the Influences ) by Mike Ness is a compilation of covers known Country pieces, with the Ness introduces songs that have influenced him as a person and musically.
Ness is married to Christine Marie, an American model. He has two sons, Julian ( * 1992) and Harry (* 1997).
