Mil Máscaras

Aaron Rodriguez Arrelano ( born July 15, 1942 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico ) is known as Mil Máscaras a retired professional wrestler and actor.

Career

Rodriguez's career began in April 1965 in Guadalajara. His trademarks were his many masks, which earned him the nickname The Man of the Thousand Masks. His first title win was the 1967 Mexican National Light Heavyweight title he though a few months later lost again, but in 1968 regained. Furthermore, Rodriguez was 1968-1971 hold four times the NWA American Title, as well as three times the NWA American Tag Team titles. Finally, he won the 1976 ALL World Heavyweight title and the IWA World Heavyweight title.

His title wins, as well as his skills in the ring helped him to establish himself as an international wrestling superstar and act as a source of inspiration for many later high- flyer.

He feuded with the best wrestlers of his time, including Superstar Billy Graham, Harley Race, Ivan Koloff, Dory Funk Jr. and " The Destroyer " Dick Beyer. Finally, his last title he won in 1991, WWA World Heavyweight Champion and has held that title until 1994.

After his career Rodriguez was in 2001 a member of the Southern California Pro-Wrestling Hall of Fame. Also in the World Wrestling Federation, he was seen at the Royal Rumble in 1997 again.
