Miles Goodman

Miles Goodman ( born August 27, 1949 in Los Angeles, California; † August 16, 1996 in Brentwood, California ) was an American composer, arranger and music producer.

Life

After Miles Goodman graduated in English at Antioch College in Ohio, he originally wanted to study Shakespeare in London, but a conversation with his cousin, the Oscar winner and composer Johnny Mandel, led him to Los Angeles back to where he among others, Albert Music and Composition Harris studied. He started " from scratch and had to Intermediate C learn to be a great musician to be ," said the Brazilian jazz musician Oscar Castro- Neves, whom he met early and with whom he nearly thirty years at his side played music.

In 1975 he was able to prove his own responsibility first film composition with the film music for low- budget science - fiction comedy Wam Bam Thank You Spaceman. In addition to television series since it was first of all television films and occasionally also lighter movies, often comedies, for the Goodman composed in the following years. His best known works were, among others La Bamba, Teenwolf, My partner with the cold muzzle and Sister Act 2 - Back in the Habit.

On 16 August 1996 Goodman died after a heart attack at St. John's Hospital and Medical Center in Santa Monica.
