The Indonesian Military Ordinariate is a Military Ordinariate in Indonesia and responsible for the Indonesian armed forces.

History

The Indonesian Military Ordinariate cared for members of the Indonesian armed forces of Catholic religious affiliation pastoral. It was Pope Pius XII. created as a military vicariate on 25 December 1949. After a mutual decision between the Holy See and the Republic of Indonesia is the seat of the Indonesian Military Ordinariate in Jakarta. It was elevated to a diocese by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution spirituality Soldiers curae on July 21, 1986.
