Milk & Sugar

Milk & Sugar is a German DJ and producer duo in the field of house music and a record label.

History

Under the impact of the mid-1990s emerged in London in musical style disco house, called Michael Kronenberger ( aka. Milk ) and Steffen Harding ( aka. Sugar) in 1997, the DJ and producer Milk & Sugar project to life. Shortly thereafter, she also founded her own label with Milk & Sugar Recordings. Here they released initially only own productions, but started back in 1998 in order to take other artists such as Damien J. Carter, Tim Deluxe and Robbie Rivera under contract. Milk & Sugar Recordings was honored in 2000 with the Dance Music Award as the best independent label in Germany.

The most successful by Milk & Sugar Artists of the label was Kid Alex, who was taken in 2003 with his track Young Love (Topless ) and the album Colorz worldwide by Universal Music Group under contract. After expiry of the Treaty Kid Alex in 2007 founded his new group Boys Noize.

Milk & Sugar succeeded as a DJ and Produzentenact with Higher & Higher in 2000, the international break after House music icon David Morales had used the song on a compilation album. 2001 when Milk & Sugar with Love Is in the Air in Spain, Germany and England, a Top 40 hit land in the official sales charts. The title used the original recording of 1977 published Disco Hits Love Is In The Air, sung by John Paul Young, who is also in the 2001 video turned occurred together with Milk & Sugar. As a singer, Milk & Sugar obliged the then unknown singer and actress Lizzy Pattinson, whose brother Robert Pattinson has arrived with the Twilight vampire saga to world fame.

In subsequent years, Milk & Sugar worked on their profile as DJs and remixers. They produced the remix of Jamiroquai Corner of the Earth, for they remixed Janet Jackson C'mon Get Up, and Usher for the track My Way. This was followed by orders for the No Angels, Mýa, Sarah Brightman, Samantha Mumba, Alex Gaudino, Room 5, Despina Vandi and many others. As DJs they first gathered in Ibiza's clubs like Amnesia, Space and El Divino international experience. After their big hits but also grew the international interest in Milk & Sugar. First, they were posted in England, France, Spain, Italy and in countries around the Mediterranean. As of 2002, they played more often in Eastern Europe, for example, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Romania and Belarus. Today Milk & Sugar occur on the entire world as a DJ and live act.

2005 could Milk & Sugar with Howard Jones ' 1980's classic What Is Love a further chart success in Germany land, not least because of the animated music video for this title.

Since 2005 Milk & Sugar cooperate with the 1983 born in Sudan and London grown singer-songwriter Ayak Thiik. In the beginning, Latin House emerged influenced tracks like Shut Up and Need Your Loving. With their third collaboration, Stay Around ( For This ) could Milk & Sugar land again an international hit. As a successful house track of 2007 in Brazil ( # 2 on the charts), and 2008 as # 1 in the English club charts.

Let the Sun Shine In 2009 Milk & Sugar cooperated with Jamaican vocalist Gary Nesta Pine, who became known as the successor to Bob Marley with The Wailers, and has sung the worldwide hit Love Generation for the French DJ Bob Sinclar. Let the Sun Shine in 2009 also came into the English club charts at # 1

The following two collaborations between Milk & Sugar and Ayak reached in the English club charts also 1st place: You Got Me Burnin ' and Let The Love (Take Over). A recording of a live performance by Milk & Sugar and Ayak is on the DVD of Planet Pop Events of 2009 in São Paulo.

The end of 2010, they released a remix of Hey ( Nah Neh Nah ), who had earlier versions by other producers such as Rico Bernasconi had become popular in the clubs. The remix of Milk & Sugar was the most commercially successful and came to Germany in the top ten at number 7, in Austria at No. 6, in Switzerland number 4, in the Netherlands, reaching number 5 and in the Flemish part of Belgium at No. 10 and in the Walloon part of Belgium, he reached number 46 of the Ultratop charts. Overall, the single reached the Top Ten in 10 countries of the sales charts and was awarded in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with gold.

On 1 July 2011, she released the single Hi -a Ma ( Pata Pata ) a remake of the '60s classic Pata Pata by Miriam Makeba as download and CD single.
