Miloš Pavlović (racing driver)

Miloš Pavlović ( Serbian Cyrillic Милош Павловић, born October 8, 1982 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian race car driver who starts in different classes of motor sport since 1991. He lives in Desenzano del Garda, Italy.

Career

Pavlovic started in 1991 with the karting. He was winner of the Yugoslav Kart series in the age group of up to 14 -year-olds in 1992. The following year he launched in Italy. In 1994 he was European Vice- Champion in Braga (Portugal ) and third in the World Championship in Ugento (Italy). Attracted international attention Pavlović, when he became the youngest winner of the Ayrton Senna Trophy in Japan in 1996. He won the race ahead of Giorgio Pantano and Jenson Button.

1997 Pavlović tested different formulas and graduated from the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School in Formula Vauxhall in England. The following year he raced in the Formula Vauxhall Junior championship in Great Britain, because of financial difficulties but took part only in 12 of 16 races and finished the season in tenth place from the drivers' standings. In 1999 he went back in Formula Vauxhall and scored two wins and three additional podium finishes. This earned him a fourth place in the overall standings.

2000 succeeded Pavlović the rise in the British Formula 3 Championship. Due to frequent failures due to technical problems of his vehicle occupied at the end of the season only to eleventh place. 2001 remained Pavlović in this series and eventually finished 17th overall. In 2002, he competed in the Italian Formula 3 Championship. He won the race series with five wins and three second places.

2003 Pavlović wanted to start in the international Formula 3000, but this wish could not be realized due to financial reasons. He got the chance to start in the Nissan -sponsored, newly founded World Series Light, in which he finished third. The following year he managed to win the race series. From 2005 to 2007 Pavlović went to the World Series by Renault. In this series he was able to conclude the 2007 season with third place after a 17th place in 2005 and an eleventh place in 2006 in the overall standings. Overall, the Serb won two races in this series.

2008 Pavlović moved to the GP2 Series to BCN Competición. In the discharged at the beginning of the GP2 Asia Series, he finished 16th in the driver standings. Then he went in the European GP2 Series for BCN Competición at the start. After three race weekends, he was replaced by Carlos Iaconelli. At the end of the season, he finished 32nd in the overall standings.

2009 Pavlović started in the revived Formula 2 He reached two podium finishes and finished the season in ninth place overall. After he had been in 2010 without any racing activities, he graduated in 2011, the first two race weekends of the FIA GT1 World Championship.
