Miranda Raison
Miranda Caroline Raison ( born November 18, 1980 in Burnham Thorpe, Norfolk ) is a British film and stage actress, known for the role of Jo Portman in the BBC One TV series Spooks - In sight of the MI5.
Life
Miranda Raison was born in Burnham Thorpe, Norfolk. Her father Nick Raison is a jazz pianist and artist. Her mother, Caroline Raison was news anchor at the transmitter Anglia Television.
Raison has 4 siblings, two brothers and two sisters: Ed, the members of the music band is Lost Levels, as well as Rosie, Sam and May Her parents separated when she was five years old. Her father has remarried and lives on the coast of Suffolk. She attended several boarding schools, inter alia, the traditional, elitist Gresham 's School and Stowe School.
Raison attended Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, the leading Drama School London.
Career
TV and theaters
Miranda Raison was known by the embodiment of Jo Portman in the BBC One TV series Spooks - In sight of the MI5, which she played from 2005 to 2010.
In April 2007 she was seen in Doctor Who, Daleks in Manhattan and Evolution of the Daleks in smaller gigs. Her character Tallulah, a show girl, dancing to the music of her father, Nick Raison. Nick Raison accompanies the dance scene on his piano and is a member of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Guest appearances in the four series of Totally Doctor Who followed.
In 2007, she appeared in six episodes of the Channel 4 series Comedy Showcase by Plus One, alongside Duncan James, Rory Kinnear and Nigel Harman. In 2010, she starred in the ITV1 comedy-drama Married Single Other than model called Abbey. In 2007 she received the lead role in Channel 4 series Comedy Showcase of six episodes of Plus One, alongside Duncan James, Rory Kinnear and Nigel Harman.
For the ITV1 comedy-drama Married Single Other, she received the lead role in 2010 as Models Abbey.
Raison played the title role in Anne Boleyn, a play by Howard Brenton, which she as a writer of the BBC series Spooks - known in the sights of MI5. The play premiered on 24 July 2010, Shakespeare's Globe. In the same Shakespeare's Globe season she played Anne Boleyn in Henry VIII by William Shakespeare ..
In 2011, she appeared in a three-part series of comedy Sugartown and in the crime comedy Death in Paradise. In 2011, she played the role of Isolde in the fourth season of the BBC series Merlin - The new adventures. She appeared in episodes 12 and 13 "The Sword in the Stone" Part I and Part II.
Raison played in Shakespeare's Globe in 2011 in the title role of the award-winning Anne Boleyn by Howard Brenton ( see above). All performances were sold out. The role since August 2012 back to sold-out house.
In 2012, she played to see in the first episode of Dirk Gently as Kate and in 6 episodes of the second season of the television series Vexed.
Film
Raison starred opposite Scarlett Johansson in Woody Allen's film Match Point in 2005 and 2006 alongside Ralph Fiennes in the drama Land of the Blind. After these film projects, she received her degree at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art
Speaking roles
2005 was to be heard on the BBC Radio 4 radio comedy series Deep Trouble as Petty Officer Lucy Radcliffe.
In the computer role-playing game Dragon Age they dubbed the character Cassandra Pentaghast.
Raison starred in two other radio plays, based on the television series Doctor Who Big Finish Productions from the audio -book titles The Davros Mission and The Wreck of the Titan.
Personal
September 2007 married Miranda Raison your Spooks actor Raza Jaffrey colleagues in Aldeburgh shortly after he left the series. In July 2009, they announced their separation and were divorced.
Raison plays golf and is an active member in Aldeburgh Golf Club.
