Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

Mishal ibn Abd al - Aziz (Arabic مشعل بن عبد العزيز آل سعود, DMG Miš ʿ al b ʿ Abd al- ʿ Aziz Al Sa ʿ ūd, . Born September 5, 1926) is the 17th son of King Abd al- Aziz ibn Saud. Because of this he wears - like all male descendants - as a complete last name " ibn Abd al - Aziz Al Saud ."

In 1951 he received the post of defense minister, after his older full brother, Prince Mansur died. From 1957 to 1960 an advisory function was under his older half- brother of King Saud. In 1963 he was appointed governor of Mecca. He left this post in 1971.

His only living full brother is Prince Mutaib ibn Abd al - Aziz.

Prince Mishal is considered as a promoter of traditional camel racing and racing equestrian sport. He has valuable racing camels and race horses. Every year he opened the big camel racing in the kingdom. Furthermore, he goes to the traditional falconry.
