Modern pentathlon at the 2008 Summer Olympics

The XXIX. 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing were held two competitions in Modern Pentathlon. It took 36 men and 36 women participated in these competitions.

She was ranked 19th She denied doing their fourth Olympic Games, where she was launched in three different sports. In 1996, she started out as a swimmer and won the 4 x 200 m relay gold medal. 2000 and 2004 she was in the triathlon at the start, finished 2000 ranked sixth.

Qualification criteria

Each National Olympic Committee has a maximum of two men and two women nominate. As a qualifying competitions were the World Championships in 2007 and 2008, the individual continental elimination contests in 2007 and the World Cup Final 2007. Three other starting places were distributed by invitation. The remaining starting positions, the number (between 10 and 16) depended on the extent to which overlapped the information on the races above qualified athletes were awarded based on the world rankings in June 2008.
