Modular Recordings

Modular Records is an Australian record label and sells mainly electronic music. It was founded in 1998 by Steve Pavlovic in Sydney. At the beginning it was a joint project of EMI, but is now half owned by Universal Music in Australia. Among the local artists of Modular include Eskimo Joe, Ben Lee, The Avalanches, Wolfmother, Cut Copy, Van She and The Presets. In addition, the label takes care of several foreign acts who publish in Australia. These include: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Chromeo, Klaxons, New Young Pony Club and MSTRKRFT.
