Molina di Ledro
Molina di Ledro is a fraction of the municipality of Ledro in the homonymous valley in Trentino. Molina has about 552 inhabitants ( the town had 1561 inhabitants on 31 December 2008). In Molina, on the shore of Lake Ledro, lies the Lake Dwelling Museum (Museo delle palafitte del Lago di Ledro). The stilt houses belonging to the 2011 recorded in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Prehistoric Pile Dwellings around the Alps.
The former church has teamed up for a referendum on 30 November 2008 to 1 January 2010, together with the communities Bezzecca, Concei, Pieve di Ledro, Tiarno di Sopra and Tiarno di Sotto Ledro to the new community.
In May 2010, a faction head ( Prosindaco ) was chosen together with the local council and mayor.
Territory
The community of Molina di Ledro was changed by amalgamations and divestitures twice clear: In 1928, the municipalities Biacesa, Legos, and Mezzolago Prè were incorporated. 1955 Mezzolago fractions were spun ( Pieve di Ledro) and Pregasina ( Riva del Garda).
Personalities
For Molina, the Italian poet Andrea Maffei came ( 1798-1885 ).
