Monica Iacob-Ridzi

Monica Maria Iacob - Ridzi (* June 30, 1977 in Petrosani, Hunedoara County ) is a Romanian politician and Member of the European Parliament for the Partidul Democrat. In the wake of Romania's accession to the European Union, it was from January 1, 2007 to December 18, 2008 the European Parliament and was a member of the Group of the European People's Party ( Christian Democrats) and European Democrats.

From 22 December 2008 to 14 July 2009 was Iacob - Ridzi Minister for Youth and Sports in the government of Prime Minister Emil Boc. She resigned after corruption allegations from the government.

Monica Maria Iacob - Ridzi 2014 was sentenced to five years in prison January 27, today. The judgment is not yet final, it may in the last resort appeal, however, be levied.
