Morris Commercial J2

Morris J2

The Morris J2 was presented in 1956. The van was bigger and more modern than the Morris J- type and had a 1489 cc B- series petrol engine. Like the J- type engine between the driver and front passenger seat was placed. The J2 should complement the commercial vehicle range upwards. After the company Morris and Austin were part of the British Motor Corporation, the model means Badge engineering was also marketed as the Austin J2.

In 1961, a revision where the engine was enlarged to 1622 cc and a diesel engine with 1500 cc was optionally available. The Austin model was now marketed as Austin 152. In 1967 the production was ended, and the successor to the Morris bzw.BMC 250 JU has been introduced.
