Most pri Bratislave

Most pri in Bratislava ( Slovak to 1948 " Most na Ostrove "; German Bruck an der Donau, Hungarian Dunahidas - to 1907 Hidas ) is a municipality in western Slovakia.

It was first mentioned in writing in 1283. To her since 1938 part of the site Studené ( German Ga [ a] dendorf, Hungarian Hideghét ).

By 1945, Bruck was a German village. The German population had to leave after the war because of Beneš decrees the place, and there were Slovaks settled. Among other things, had also the current diocesan bishop of Linz, Ludwig Schwarz, left with his family Bruck. Black is very committed to the reconciliation between the ethnic groups, and today there are friendly relations between the former German and the current Slovak residents Brucks.

In Vienna, one finds in a meeting of the former German inhabitants and their descendants instead, the so-called " Brucker meeting ".
