Mostová

Mostová ( until 1948 slovak " Mostová Kert "; Hungarian Hidaskürt ) is a municipality in western Slovakia with 1605 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011), which belongs to Okres Galanta, a part of the Trnavský kraj.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Slovak Danube lowland between the two arms of the Dudváh called Dolny Dudváh and Salibský Dudváh. The municipality is a deforested level with Au and black soils. The center is located at an altitude of 118 m nm and is eight kilometers from Galanta away.

History

Mostová was first mentioned in 1245 as Curty writing. Initially, the village belonged to the manor of Bratislava Castle, after the brief possession by the oligarchs Matthew Csák in the early 14th century it was divided between several nobles. On the basis of several disputes, there were several divisions of the village, for example, after Kiskürt and Nagykürt before it as a whole succeeded in the 16th century the estate of Schintau and in the 19th century to that of Tallós. In the 16th and 17th centuries the town was repeatedly affected, for example by attacking Turks in the years 1530, 1555 and 1599th

1715 36 taxpayer records, 1720 is a mill mentioned. 1828 were counted 156 houses and 1,139 inhabitants.

Until 1918, belonged to the county located in the Bratislava city of the Kingdom of Hungary and was then Czechoslovakia or Slovakia today. On the basis of the First Vienna Award 1938-1945 he was lying again in Hungary.

Population

According to the 2011 census lived in Mostová 1,595 inhabitants, of whom 1,269 Magyars, 283 Slovaks, Roma nine and three Czechs. 31 inhabitants did not know. 1,384 inhabitants belonged Jehovah to the Roman Catholic Church, 53 inhabitants to the Evangelical Church AB, four residents to the Reformed Church, two residents of the Greek Catholic Church and each one population to the witness, the United Methodist Church, the Czechoslovak- Hussite Church. 87 residents were non-denominational and 57 inhabitants, the denomination is not determined.
