Motešice

Motešice (Hungarian Motesic ) is a municipality in the north- west of Slovakia with 799 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2011). It belongs to Okres Trenčín, kraj a circle of the parent Trenčín.

Geography

The municipality is situated between two branches of the mountain Strážovské hills, at the northernmost tip of Hillsbrad Nitrianska pahorkatina, a lower part of the Slovakian lowlands. By the municipality of Bach Machnáč that belongs to the catchment area of ​​the Nitra River flows. Motešice is 15 kilometers from Bánovce nad Bebravou and 23 kilometers from Trenčín. Through the town, the main road runs 519 ( Bánovce nad Bebravou - Trenčianska Teplá ).

Administratively divided the community in community Parts Dolné Motešice, Horne Motešice and Peťovka.

History

Today's church was built in 1960 by the merger of Motešice Dolné Motešice and Horne Motešice. 1990 these were joined by Peťovka and Petrova Lehota, the latter place was divided again in 1995 from.

The town was first mentioned in 1208 as Motihe writing. The originally announced some place in the 16th century and until 1960 he was reunited.
