The Mount Bates is 319 meters above sea level, the highest elevation in the east of Australia in the Pacific Ocean situated Norfolk Island including the two uninhabited islands Besides Nepean and Phillip Iceland Iceland.

The survey is located in Norfolk Iceland National Park and consists of volcanic rock as well as the entire island. On with Norfolk pines (English: " Norfolk Pine Isle " ) capped mountain is a walking path that contains up to the summit of wooden steps.
