Mount Capley

Mount Capley is a 1810 m high peaks of the Nimbus Hills in the West Antarctic Heritage Range. It is located in the northwestern part of the chain. From the foothills of Mount Capley the Donald Ridge runs to the south.

Mount Capley was mapped by the United States Geological Survey as part of the compilation of Ellsworthgebirges in the years 1961-66 by site surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Lieutenant Commander Joe H. Capley, a pilot in the U.S. Navy. This was controlled in 1965 and 1966 airplanes on the operations Deep Freeze, customized the aerial photographs of Marie Byrd Lands and Ellsworthlands.
