Mühlau, Germany
Muehlau is a municipality in the district of Central Saxony Saxony. It is part of the joint management Burgstädt.
Geography
Muehlau located in the Erzgebirge about 3 km north of Limbach -Oberfrohna and 15 km north- west of Chemnitz.
History
The settlers came originally from Mehlem then on the Rhine and they were brought from the monastery Zschillen into the country. The place name derives from the Muehlau former hometown. In 1346 Muehlau was first mentioned as flours.
Transport links
The nearby A 4 can be reached via the connections Limbach- Oberfrohna and Chemnitz -Mitte. The A72 to Leipzig leads past the church and can be reached via the connections Hartmann village and Niederfrohna.
