The MVV GmbH is planning the schedules of the MVV regional bus traffic and then instructed the RVO or around 50 other regional transport companies with the implementation. For MVV tariff area and parts of several regional railway routes are (both all stops in the MVV tariff area ):

  • KBS 930 Munich Central - Munich - Feldmoching - Freising - Marzling - Langenbach - Moosburg ( railway line Munich -Regensburg ): This route is used by trains of alex, two regional express lines Munich - Freising - Moosburg ( - Landshut - Passau / - Regensburg - who hold Nuremberg) not in Marzling and Langenbach, as well as a regional train line (Munich - ) Freising - Moosburg ( - Landshut ) served.

In December 2013, the S -Bahn line S27 has been set, and the S20 wrong since Pasing after Höllriegelskreuth, instead of Deisenhofen. The relation Hauptbahnhof - Harass - Solln - Deisenhofen is now operated under the brand MERIDIAN by Bayerische Oberland Bahn. In addition, the timetable 2013/2014 are nine pairs of trains regional train through the Mangfalltal that otherwise runs only between Rosenheim and wooden churches, bound by about Deisenhofen and Solln to Munich Hbf. However, this is expected to be completed until April 2014 due to lack of vehicles.

The Munich S- Bahn network is thus complemented by the regional railway lines in MVV with additional fast connections. As these, however, are no longer listed on the official high-speed rail plan of MVV since 1998, the possibility of their use in the MVV tariff is largely unknown. Unlike other German transport associations (eg Berlin and Rhein- Ruhr), where the regional train lines are shown completely, they were already indicated only rudimentary in the MVV plans.

Through the lines direction Mühldorf and Rosenheim provides an additional inner-city connection. These go via Munich Suedring ( Ostbahnhof - Hauptbahnhof). However, the travel time is longer than the corresponding S- and U -Bahn lines, and the south station lying at the track is no longer operated since 1985.

The S-Bahn routes Mammendorf - Maisach and Dachau Altomuenster were before the S-Bahn operating regional railway lines in the MVV.

The railway stations Hörlkofen, Walpertskirchen, Thann - Matzbach and Villages of the railway line Munich - Mühldorf are not integrated into the MVV tariff, even though they are in the district of Erding. However, the regional bus lines are integrated into these places in the network. The same applies to the stations of Bad Tölz and main lake.

Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport is to be connected by two projected construction of the regional rail network. The " Neufahrner counter- curve" is connections towards Freising - enable Moosburg; the " Walpertskirchen " towards Villages - Mühldorf also. In Erding will establish a regional station.

Tariff system

Bartarif

In Bartarif single, multi-trip and day tickets can be purchased. There are also in cooperation with organizers determine Combination tickets, which shall at the ticket and as MVV ticket. For children and adolescents discounted fares apply. The network area is divided into an indoor and three outdoor areas in Bartarif.

Since 2002 Single tickets are issued when paying with cash card at a reduced price equal to the price of a trip with a travel card ( " strip map "). The MVG, which has greatly promoted the widespread introduction of ticket machines with cash card function, is hoping that the cashless payment cost savings. It is also planned in the future to use the debit card as electronic ticket, although this requires a broad acceptance of the debit card as payment.

As of December 15, 2013 Single tickets and day tickets can also be purchased with the phone or online.

Season ticket fare

For regular users of the MVV there is a time card called "Isar Card ". It is valid for a period of one calendar week or a calendar month. Most monthly tickets can be purchased cheaper in the annual subscription for 12 calendar months. Month time cards for students, trainees and students ( collective training ) as well as company tickets IsarCard job with a minimum purchase of 100 tickets a year with 12 months' duration each company are also available. In addition, there are special offers for seniors ( IsarCard60 ) and for everyone ( IsarCard9Uhr ), the weekdays are valid only after the morning rush hour. In the season ticket fare the four zones of the Bartarifs are divided into a total of 16 rings. Before the tariff reform in 1999, the MVV area was divided in the so-called " general season ticket fare " in 148 honeycombed zones.

Subsidized rate

For all " Munich - Pass" holders that relate, for example, unemployment benefits ( Hartz IV), basic security retirement or similar benefits for livelihood, a significantly subsidized social ticket offers the MVV from 1 April 2009 ( " token ") from all MVV outlets and MVV ticket machines, which IsarCard S, which is valid for one calendar month. The IsarCard S ( Munich valid passport with a valid stamp ) costs for the MVV interior 27,10 Euro and for the entire MVV route network 45,80 €. On working days from Monday to Friday from 9 only apply this clock. My children and grandchildren ages 6 to 14 can travel for free in any number, otherwise the number of ride- free children aged 6 to 14 years old are limited to three. For these discounted monthly ticket, the Munich Department of Social Services about 5.5 million euros must be paid at the MVV According to a forecast year. Additionally, there is the " München- Pass" holders the opportunity to earn monthly in their Sozialbürgerhaus up to 15 discounted day passes which are valid only in conjunction with the " Munich - pass " and have no time restrictions. With the introduction of IsarCard S 1 April 2009 a three-year dispute and fight for a Munich MVV social ticket is completed.

Semesterticket

Since 1992 there are negotiations for a semester ticket in Munich. After the introduction of a base model was increasingly likely, the MVV declared in July 2008, negotiations failed. As the percentage of MVV - driver among students in Munich anyway is already very high and was not expected to sufficiently high subsidies from the State of Bavaria, a semester ticket in comparison with other cities would have been relatively expensive to implement. Thus Munich remains the only major German university town without its own semester ticket for students. After protests and an open letter, which jointly by the student, and the student president and representatives of the three major universities of Munich was written, was the end of January 2009, the negotiations for the time being be resumed. From November 23 to December 4, 2009, the students of the LMU, the Technical University and the University of Munich were invited to vote on the semester ticket online. Although voted at TU 82.5 % and in HM 65.5 % of the students for the semester ticket, but found himself at LMU with 47.9 % no majority for the offered model, so for the time being not to with the introduction of the semester ticket was expected.

From November 21 to December 2, 2012, the students voted again on the introduction of the semester ticket. In this second ballot the vote with 86.3 % was significantly for the semester ticket (LMU 81.5 %, 90.7 % TU, HM 87.9 %). In the winter semester 2013/14, the model has been introduced.
