Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

Mutaib ibn Abd al - Aziz (Arabic متعب بن عبد العزيز آل سعود, DMG courage ʿ ib b ʿ Abd al - ʿ Aziz Al Sa ʿ ūd, . Born 1931 in Riyadh ) is a prince of the house of Saud and the 21 son of states founder of Saudi Arabia Abd al Aziz ibn Saud. His mother was Princess Shahida, she was an Armenian Lebanese mother. His own brothers are Prince Mansur ( * 1922 or 1923, died on 2 May 1951), Prince Mishal ( b. 1926 ) and Prince Talal ( born 1930, died 1931 ).

On 2 May 1951 he was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense. In November 1963, he was awarded the Office of the Deputy Governor of Mecca, which he held until June 1971. On October 13, 1975, he was awarded the Office of the Minister for Urban Affairs and Public Relations. November 2, 2009 Prince joined Mutaib back in favor of his son, Prince Mansour ibn Mutaib ibn Abdul Aziz Al -Saud, the former Deputy Minister of Urban Administration and Rural Affairs, which was appointed by King Abdullah as the new Minister for Urban Administration and Rural Affairs.

According to international observers, he is one of the three most important sons of his father, which are politically classified as liberal thinking, according to Saudi standards. Next to him are among those of his two younger half-brothers, Prince Talal and Prince Muqrin.

That him up to the present time a ministerial posts were granted, is interesting in the sense that his mother came from no major tribe of the Arabian Peninsula, but an Armenian Lebanese mother was. He was regarded as a hard-working government official and only because of this fact confessed to him most likely the minister to, which actually is considered insignificant in the exercise of power. As a minister he was supported in particular by his older biological brother Prince Mishal. Prince Mutaib is counted to the family group of King Abdullah. Prince Mutaib and his son Mansur were regarded as the architect of the first local council elections of 2005.

Prince Mutaib was married to Princess Nura bint Mohammed Al Sheikh. She died on April 17, 2010 after a long illness at the age of 75 years in the port city of Jeddah. Together with her, he had eight daughters and two sons.
