Nabeul

Nabeul (Arabic نابل, Nābul DMG ) is a city in Tunisia, with around 57,000 inhabitants and the capital of the province of the same name.

Location

The city is located on the south side of the Tunisian Cap Bon peninsula in the Gulf of Hammamet.

History

As early as the Punic and then in the Roman period was a port city here. Etymologically can be derived the present name Nabeul or Nabul from the Greek Neapolis ( new city).

Nabeul is a tourist resort and is considered in Tunisia as a center for pottery and ceramic art.
