Nanshan District, Shenzhen

Nanshan (Chinese南山 区, pinyin Nanshan qū, literally "Southern Mountain" ) is one of ten districts of the Chinese city of Shenzhen. The district lies within the special economic zone between Bao'an and Futian.

In Nanshan there are various parks such as Splendid China and Window of the World. Also in this district the very popular among foreigners Road Shekou district (蛇口 街道). Here work many foreigners and the district offers many bars and international restaurants. In addition, the island Nei Ling Ding Dao is part of the road district Shekou. On it is a large nature reserve is largely untouched with South Asian tropical forests.

Administrative Divisions

At the community level, Nanshan is composed of eight road districts. These are:

• Road district Nantou (南 头 街道), here is the government of the municipality;
• Road Nanshan District (南山 街道);
• Road Shahe district (沙河 街道);
• Road Shekou district (蛇口 街道);
• Taoyuan District Road (桃源 街道);
• Road District Xili (西丽 街道);
• Road district Yuehai (粤海 街道);
• Road district Zhaoshang (招商 街道).
