Napi is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Kõrgessaare ( Kõrgessaare vald ). It is the second largest Estonian island of Hiiumaa ( German Dagö ).
Description and History
Napi ( German Nappi ) has eight inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). The location is situated 14 kilometers southwest of the island's capital Kärdla ( Kertel ).
The village was first mentioned in records in 1565 under the name Napilla by. The origin of the place name is unresolved.
