Narsaq Kujalleq

Friedrichstal (Danish: Frederiksdal, Greenlandic: Narsaq Kujalleq also Narsarmijit ) is the southernmost of six former mission stations of the Moravian Church in Greenland. It was founded in 1824 and is located about 50 km from Cape Farewell away. Patron was the Danish King Frederick VI.

1906 founded here the Pastor Jens Chemnitz Greenlandic sheep farming and thus laid the foundation for an important industry in Greenland.

The village now belongs to the municipality Kujalleq ( until 1 January 2009 management community Nanortalik ) and has 80 inhabitants ( 2012). It is the southernmost inhabited settlement in Greenland.
