Wet Reith is a municipality with 2082 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Imst ( Imst district court ) of the federal state of Tyrol ( Austria ).

Geography

Wet Reith is located at the beginning of the Gurgltal on the busy route from the Fern Pass to Imst ( former Via Claudia Augusta). This also opens the old salt road over the Holzleitensattel and the Mieminger plateau after Telfs. The Fern Pass route should be developed through projects such as the Tschirganttunnel on.

The hermitage Fernstein was first mentioned in 1288 and was the former customs station on Fernpassstraße. The Fernstein, which is privately owned, is a popular dive site. Customs

The Schellerlaufen, one of the most important Tyrolean carnival customs held every three years in Nassereith instead, most recently in 2013. The religious life
