Natchesium

Natchez is a Roman Catholic titular and called in Latin Natchesium.

The diocese, located in the U.S., was founded in the area of the Apostolic Vicariate of Mississippi on July 28, 1837. It belonged to the Ecclesiastical Province of New Orleans and was 46 340 square miles. On 18 December 1956, was replaced by the Diocese of Natchez -Jackson, which still calls itself only since March 1, 1977 Jackson.
