Nate Thompson

Nate Thompson ( born October 5, 1984 in Anchorage, Alaska ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since January 2010 the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Nate Thompson began his career as a hockey player with the Seattle Thunderbirds, for which he was active from 2001 to 2005 in the Western Hockey League. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 in the sixth round as a total 183 players from the Boston Bruins. Towards the end of the season 2004/ 05 Thompson first played for the Boston farm team from the American Hockey League, the Providence Bruins, when he scored an assist in eleven playoff games. In his four years in the franchise of the Boston Bruins, played the attacker almost exclusively for their farm team with the exception of the 2006/07 season, when he ran aground in four games for Boston in the National Hockey League, where the American point - and goalless remained.

In the summer of 2008, Thompson was taken by the New York Islanders under contract, for which he Scorer four points, including two goals scored in the following season in 47 games.

Internationally

At the World Championships in 2013 in Stockholm and Helsinki Nate Thompson was a member of the U.S. national team and won the bronze medal with this.
