National Bloc (France)

The Bloc National was a center - right coalition in the Third Republic, which had from 1919 to 1924 inventory.

In the parliamentary elections in 1919 came for the Bloc National in addition to the moderate parties Fédération républicaine, Alliance and Alliance démocratique libérale some radical right-wing groups. The Bloc nation demanded the continuation of the Union sacrée that existed during the First World War. Ideologically linked the parties belonging mainly of patriotism and fear of Bolshevism. The rights established the importance of veterans in the foreground and criticized the Treaty of Versailles as too lax. With Paul Deschanel a conservative followed ex-President Raymond Poincaré. That same year, however, he was replaced for health reasons by Alexandre Mille edge. In 1924 the left bearing ( Cartel of gauches ) win the election. Thus, the right-wing coalition broke apart.
