National Police Corps of Spain

The Cuerpo Nacional de Policía ( German: National Police Corps ), colloquially known as the " Policía Nacional " or " CNP " called, is a Spanish police authority which emerged at the end of the 20th century from the need to provide the Spanish cities with a modern security structure. It goes back to a decree of King Ferdinand VII, the so called the General Police of the kingdom to life. Despite their long, continuous existence, the Spanish police today in the Constitution of 1978 their legal origin. The Cuerpo Nacional de Policía allows - in contrast to the Guardia Civil - membership in a union as the Sindicado Unificado de Policia (SUP ), the Confederación Española de Policía (CEP ), the Sindicado Profesional de Policía (SPP ) and the Unión Federal de Policía ( UFP ).
