Natsuki Ikezawa

Natsuki Ikezawa (Japanese池 泽 夏 树, Ikezawa Natsuki; * July 7, 1945 in Obihiro ) is a Japanese writer.

The son of Takehiko Fukunaga and Akiko Harajō study physics, which he broke off the end of the 1960s. From 1972 to 1975 he lived in Greece and there translated works by contemporary Greek poet. After his return to Japan, was published in 1978 his book of poems Shio no michi.

Since the 1980s, Izekawa operated mainly as a prose writer. For the story The motionless life, he was awarded the Young Investigator Award and Chūōkōron Akutagawa Prize, for the essays end with joy with the Yomiuri Prize for Literature. In 2010 he received the Asahi Prize.

In the 1990s Izekawa lived in France. Since 2011 he is the chief editor of the literary magazine Bungei. In the magazine Asahi shinbun appeared Shizukana daichi ( The silent landscape ) as a serial novel. Haruna Ikezawa Izekawas daughter became known as a voice actress.
