NeamÈ› County

Neamţ [ neamts ] is a Romanian county ( Judet ) in the region of Moldova to the district capital Piatra Neamţ. The license plate and the common abbreviation for the circle is NT.

The circle Neamţ bordered to the north and to the northwest by the Suceava County, on the east by the county of Iaşi, in the southeast on the Vaslui county, on the south by the county Bacau and to the west by the Harghita County.

Demography

In 2002, the county 557 084 inhabitants and a population density of 99 inhabitants per km ².

2011 had 470 766 inhabitants of the county of Neamţ thus a population density of about 80 inhabitants per km ².

Geography

The county has a total area of ​​5896 km ², equal to 2.47 % of the area of Romania. To the west of the circle Neamţ is the Ceahlău Mountains, part of the Eastern Carpathians Mountains.
