Nemanja Vidić ( Serbian Cyrillic Немања Видић; born October 21, 1981 in Titovo Užice, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian football player who plays in the English Premier League with Manchester United, and is a former captain of the Serbian national football team. Nemanja Vidić was due to its header and strength in the tackle for a long time as one of the world's best defender.

Club career
Red Star Belgrade
Nemanja Vidić moved to Sloboda Užice in his youth by the youth department of the Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade, where he spent four years. His professional debut was in 2000. With Red Star he won in 2002 and 2004 both the Championship and the Serbian Cup.
Spartak Moscow
From 2004 he played for the Russian club Spartak Moscow, where he quickly became a regular player. In December 2005, Manchester United undertook the central defender for a fee in the amount of seven million pounds.
Manchester United
Together with Rio Ferdinand in central defense had conceded only 22 goals in 38 games Manchester in the 2007/ 08 season. Vidić was elected in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011 in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year. On 8 November 2007 Manchester extended his contract until 2012. In 2008, he was able to win the next championship with Manchester UEFA Champions League.
In February 2009, Vidić ( January), the Premier League was voted player of the month. Vidić was alongside Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo, Edwin van der Sar, Rio Ferdinand and Steven Gerrard nominated in April as the best player in the Premier League, with Vidić was traded as favorite. However, it won Ryan Giggs. On December 21, the FIFA in Zurich Vidić and John Terry from Chelsea chose the best central defenders in Europe the 2009 season. This honor was bestowed on him together with Gerard Pique of FC Barcelona once again in 2011.
At the beginning of the season 2010/11 was determined Nemanja Vidić of manager Sir Alex Ferguson as the new captain of Manchester, as Gary Neville barely played and was mostly replaced by John O'Shea or Rafael. At the end of the season the defender of the sponsors of the Premier League, was elected for the second time after 2009 as the best player of the season.
On December 7, 2011 Vidić suffered in the last Champions League group game at FC Basel (1:2) a torn ACL in his right knee. He was thus made for the entire rest of the season 2011/12.
On January 11, 2014 Nemanja Vidic completed his 200th Premier League game for Manchester United in a 2-0 victory over Swansea City.
On February 7, 2014 Vidić announced not to renew his end of season 2013/14 expiring contract to " take on a new challenge."
Inter Milan
In March 2014 Vidić signed a contract with Inter Milan for the following season.
National
In 2006 he took part with the Serbian- Montenegrin national team at the World Cup, was injured but not used. On 10 October 2009 he qualified with the Serbian national team as group winners ahead of France for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Following the resignation of Savo Milošević, he was the second captain of the national team. As a result of failing to qualify for the 2012 European Vidić resigned from the national team.

Since July 17, 2006 Vidić is married to the Serb Ana Ivanović, an economics student. He is the father of three sons.
