Nettgau is a district of Jübar in Altmark Salzwedel in Saxony- Anhalt, Germany.

Geography

Former districts are Gladdenstedt and Wendish Brome. Both places were incorporated to Nettgau on 1 July 1973. Near the village lies the megalithic grave Nettgau.

History

Through a field amendment agreement, the municipal councils of the municipalities Bornsen decided ( on 25 May 2009 ), Hanum ( 3 June 2009 ), Jübar ( 3 June 2009 ), Lüdelsen ( 13 May 2009 ) and Nettgau ( June 4, 2009), that their communities are dissolved and merged into a new community with the name Jübar. This agreement was approved by the county as a lower municipal supervisory authority and entered into force on 1 January 2010.
