Geography
Neukirch is located in a hilly, broken by small lakes and ponds forest and agricultural landscape north of the River Argen.
Neighboring communities
Neukirch is bordered to the west and southwest to the area of the town Tettnang, in the south on the community oh mountain, on the east by the town of Wangen im Allgäu and in the north on the community Bodnegg in the district of Ravensburg.

In the area of the municipality Neukirch are by the regional council of Tübingen and the District Office Lake Constance as the lower nature conservation authority currently has three protected landscape areas ( Glacial edges of Argentals with Argenaue, Endmoränenkegel Ebersberg with Mahlweiher and Endmoränenlage "Height 585.1 " between Gunzenweiler and Litzelmannshof ) and ten nature reserves ( Argen, Auweiher, book Bach, Ebersberg pond, Gemsenweiher, Hüttensee, hut meadows, Igelsee, hunters pond and Kreuzweiher - Maggiore ) were reported. History
From a prehistoric settlement here, unlike in many other places in the Lake District, nothing is known. The first safe testified settlement at this point was the parish seat Schoenberg in 837 other districts emerged much later, sometimes not until the 18th century.
In the Middle Ages, the area to the county Tettnang and in particular a long time under the jurisdiction of the Counts of Montfort belonged. With the decline of this race it was in the late 18th century, western Austria, with the Peace of Pressburg then to Bavaria and 1810 under influence of Napoleon Bonaparte to Württemberg.
Circa 3100 meters north of Neukirch are the ruins of the castle Ebersberg.

Parish council
In the local elections of 7 June 2009, the Free Voters won ( 52.1% share of the vote ) and the CDU ( vote share 47.9 %) of six seats; the number of seats on both lists has not changed compared to the result of the election of 2004.

The coat of arms of the municipality Neukirch shows in silver under a three leafed red flag - the original emblem of the Tübingen Palatine - diagonally crossed a slumped red sword and a red Abtsstab.
Partner communities
The three partner municipalities of Neukirch are Szada in Hungary, the resort 's mouth the community free field in South Tyrol and the community Osterstedt in Schleswig -Holstein.
Economy and infrastructure
Even today, about a fifth of the population of Neukirch's agriculture. This is the highest proportion in comparison with all the other communes of the district.

Traffic
In the center ends the first and begins the second stage of the Jubilee path, a 111 km long trail that was marked for the 25th anniversary of the Lake Constance district in 1998. It leads across six stages through the hinterland of Lake Constance from Kressborn about Neukirch, Meckenbeuren, Mark Village, Heiligenberg and Owingen to Überlingen.
Educational institutions
The municipality has a primary and secondary school with Werkrealschule.
Culture and sights
Faith
Pastoral care unit Argen, a coalition of Catholic parishes Goppertsweiler, Hiltensweiler, Krumbach, Laimnau, Neukirch, Upper Eisenbach, Tannau and Wildpoltsweiler has applied to their tenth anniversary in 2010 in their respective places a journey of faith. On four out of nine stations large natural stones are placed in Neukirch and surrounding hamlets. At each of these stones a plaque with the logo of the pastoral care unit and a saying or verse is attached. The path length of 4.7 kilometers.

Hexenhäusle
In the district of Hinteressach is found, built by the artist Melchior setting called Hexenhäusle. It is now privately owned.
