New Order (Indonesia)

Orde Baru, also order Baru, " New Order ", is a term coined by Indonesian President Suharto term meant to differentiate his policy from the political concept Nasakom his predecessor Sukarno. Orde Baru is used in the recent history of Indonesia as a synonym for Suharto's reign from 1966 to 1998, which was marked by human rights violations, but also economic recovery.
