New York City Half Marathon

The New York City Half-Marathon (English NYC Half ) is a half marathon, which takes place in New York City since 2006. It is organized as the New York City Marathon by the New York Road Runners ( NYRR ).

Since 2010, he regularly takes place in March.

Route

In contrast to the marathon, where all five boroughs are passed through the half marathon takes place only in the borough of Manhattan. The course takes you through Central Park, then over the Seventh Avenue to Times Square, and finally on the 42nd Street and the West Side Highway to the goal at Battery Park.

More Half Marathon in New York City

The NYRR organize other half marathons during the year:

  • The Manhattan Half Marathon in January (2014 under the name Fred Lebow Manhattan Half ) used a similar route as the New York City Half-Marathon, but does not leave the Central Park and instead turns a little more than two rounds there.
  • Furthermore, there is a women-only half marathon in April, which bears the title "More Magazine / Fitness Magazine Women 's Half - Marathon" and had in 2013 a total of 7550 finishers. He used the same route as the Manhattan Half Marathon.
  • The Brooklyn Half Marathon in May passes through Prospect Park and ends in Coney Iceland. He had in 2013 a total of 21,378 finishers.
