Not to die is the debut album by the Austrian Dark Metal band Dornenreich and was recorded in only four days in September 1997. In the same year it appeared on the Austrian label CCP Records and was re-released in May 2003 on the current label Prophecy Productions.

The cover is kept extremely sparse and shows only an implied sunrise.

Musical aspects and content
