Nick Abadzis

Nick Abadzis (* 1965 in Sweden ) is a British cartoonist and author specialized in graphic novel.

Life

Abadzis comes from a Greek -British parents and grew up in Sweden but also in England and in Switzerland. In 1987 he was hired by the company Marvel Comics in the UK until then recently editor. The following year he started his own business and worked for the defunct British comic magazine Deadline. For the magazine he created the stick figure Hugo Tate, which was published from 1988 until 1994. A collection of his stories was 1993 entitled Hugo Tate: O installed, America as a book. A second figure from Deadline is Mr. Pleebus which was also receiving in four of his children's books for the years 1998 to 2001.

Abadzis ' biggest success in 2007 was the graphic novel Laika, which describes the last stage of life of the first living being that was sent into space. Laika was relocated award-winning and internationally. The artist worked for weekly and daily newspapers, including The Guardian, The Times and The Sunday Correspondent. He is a consultant in the field of children's books for various British publishers. For the television series Bob the Builder, a stop-motion film, he wrote some lyrics.

2010 moved Abadzis from London to New York City has to offer.
