Nicola de Angelis CFIC ( born January 23, 1939 in Pozzaglia Sabino ) is Emeritus Bishop of Peterborough.

Life

Nicola de Angelis joined the Congregation of the Sons of the Immaculate Conception and received on 6 December 1970, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop on 27 April 1992 in Toronto and Titular Bishop of Remesiana. The Archbishop of Toronto, Aloysius Matthew Ambrozic, donated to him on 24 June of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Leonard James Wall, Archbishop of Winnipeg, and Thomas Benjamin Fulton, Bishop of Saint Catharines.

On December 28, 2002, he was appointed Bishop of Peterborough.

Pope Francis took on April 8, 2014, his age-related withdrawal.
