Nicola Griffith

Nicola Griffith ( born September 30, 1960 in Yorkshire ) is a British author.

Life

Griffith grew up in Yorkshire, England, in a family with five girls on. After her schooling Griffith studied at Michigan State University in Clarion Workshop. In 1993 she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. With her ​​partner, Kelley Eskridge Griffith lives in Seattle, United States.

Griffith wrote several books in the field of science fiction, in which they took up, among other LGBT issues. Her first novel was published in 1993 Ammonite, for which she received the James Tiptree, Jr. Award. Her second novel was published in 1994 Slow River, for which she received the Nebula Award and a Lambda Literary Award.
