Nicola Marconi

Nicola Marconi ( born November 12, 1978 in Rome ) is an Italian diver. He starts for the S. S. Lazio Nuoto in the disciplines of art jumping from 1 m and 3 m- board and in the 3-meter synchronized diving. Marconi is the brother of the equally successful water jumper Maria Marconi and his partner synchronous Tommaso Marconi.

He has participated in three Olympic Games. From the 3 m board he won in Sydney in 2000 rank 26, 2004 in Athens and 2008 Beijing Rank 20 Rank 14, 2000, he was with Donald Miranda also eighth in synchronized diving.

Marconi won numerous medals at European Swimming Championships. In individual competitions he won at the European Championships in Berlin in 2002 and gold in 2004 in Madrid silver, each in the art of jumping from one m- board. In synchronized competition from the 3 m board he reached six other medals. With Donald Miranda, he won the European Championship in 1997 in Seville bronze and gold in Istanbul in 1999. Then he jumped with his brother Tommaso to bronze in Berlin in 2002, Budapest in 2006 and 2009 in Turin. At the European Championships in Madrid in 2004, the duo became European Champion.
