Nikolaj Koppel

Nikolaj Koppel ( born March 6, 1969 in Gentofte ) is a Danish musician and journalist.

He is the son of the musician Lone Koppel and John Winther. After studying at the Royal Danish Conservatory in 1998, he was a professional singer, but withdrew after only two years out of the music business. Later, he began to work as a music journalist at Danish Broadcasting DR and was the author of the magazine Euroman. In 2005, he then returned as music director of the Tivoli into the music business.

Coupling is married to Danish actress Hella Joof.

On February 4, 2014 it was announced that he will moderate along with Lise Rønne and Pilou Asbæk the Euro Vision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen.
