Ninni Holmqvist

Ninni Holmqvist (born 1958 in Lund ) is a Swedish writer and translator.

Life

Ninni Holmqvist grew up in southern Sweden, Malmö. She went to various professions, before she decided on the letter. Writing courses they attended at the community colleges in Skurup and on the island Biskops - Arnö at Håbo and the University of Gothenburg.

Works and translations

Her first published book was a collection of stories that appeared in 1995 under the title Kostym in the Stockholm Publishing Group Nordstedts. Her first novel, published in Nordstedts av under the title Nagot stocks karaktär 1999, came in 2004 in a German translation (as The seduced ) as Suhrkamp Taschenbuch out. It was in 2010 with the Swedish 15,000 crowns doped Ludvig Nordström priset of Ludvig Nordström Society awarded.

Ninni Holmqvist transferred including works by Natasha Illum Berg, Sara Blædel, Bright Light, Iselin C. Hermann, Christina Hesselholdt, Peter Høeg and Ida Jessen from the Danish and Adam Thirlwell, Kurt Vonnegut and Xinran from English into Swedish.
