Nong Ya Plong District

Amphoe Nong Ya Plong ( Thai: อำเภอ หนองหญ้าปล้อง ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the northwestern part of the province ( Changwat ) Phetchaburi. Phetchaburi is located in the south western part of central Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Ban Kha and the Pak Tho Ratchaburi Province Amphoe Khao Yoi, and, Ban Lat and Kaeng Krachan Phetchaburi Province. In the West, Tanintharyi Division is located in Myanmar.

History

Nong Ya Plong in 1972 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established. On 21 May 1990, it got the full Amphoe status.

Management

Amphoe Nong Ya Plong is ( tambon) divided into four municipalities, which are divided in turn into 31 villages ( Muban ).

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
