Noppie Koch

LJ Norbert " Noppie " Koch ( born March 22, 1932 in Utrecht, † December 7, 2010 in Nieuwegein ) is a former Dutch cyclist and legendary pacemaker pacemaker race in the 1960s to the 1980s.

In the early 1950s began Norbert Koch his career as an amateur cyclist. In 1954 he was third in the Dutch railway Championships in the sprint, then he moved increasingly on pacemaker race. In 1955 he finished second in this event at the national championships; 1959, 1962 and 1963 he became Dutch champion of the uprights. In 1959 he was third in Europe and third in the 1959 and 1960 World Championships.

Then cook gave to the active cycling and was a pacesetter in stayer and Dernyrennen. He celebrated his first international success in 1966 at the Track World Championships in Frankfurt am Main, as he has his fellow countryman Piet de Wit - led to the title - as well as 1967.
