North African Championship

The North African Football Championship, (French: Championnat d' de Football Association North Africain ) was a football club competition in the French territories in North Africa. The 1921 was introduced by the French Association competition existed until 1955, when the colonies became independent gradually. During the Second World War, the competition has been temporarily suspended. The competition first took part in four, later five masters from Morocco, Tunisia and the three regions Algerian Algiers, Oran and Constantine. From 1921 to 1945, played for the Challenge Steeg and 1946-1955 to the Challenge Louis Rivet.

After independence, Morocco and Tunisia in 1956, the contest was continued as Championnat d' Algérie with the participation of three Algerian regions until independence from France in 1962.
