North African Cup

The North African Football Cup (French: Coupe d' Afrique du Nord ), was a football club competition in the French territories in North Africa. In 1931, introduced by the French Association competition existed until 1955, when the colonies became independent gradually. During the Second World War, the competition has been temporarily suspended. The competition first took part in eight, later 32 teams from Morocco, Tunisia and the three regions Algerian Algiers, Oran and Constantine. According to which criteria, the regions presented their participants is unclear.

After independence, Morocco and Tunisia in 1956, the competition was continued under the sole participation of the three regions to the Algerian independence from France in 1962 as a Coupe d' Algérie.
