History

Today's church was founded in 1950 through the spin-off of the 23 settlements of Bošáca after it had far surpassed the population of the core location in previous years. Today, smaller settlements / individual farms and those are largely given way to weekend homes, so-called Chatas in remote valleys.

The Roman Catholic Cyril and Methodius church was completed in 1971.
