Nová Pláň

Nová Pláň ( German neurodegeneration ) is a municipality with around 40 inhabitants in the Czech Republic.

Geographical Location

Nová Pláň located 8 km south of Bruntál in 494 m asl in the valley of the brook Mýdlový Brook, a tributary of the Moravice ( Mohra ) at the top of the dam Slezská Harta. The village covers an area of ​​171 hectares and is located at the eastern foot of the 693 m high Měděný vrch ( Kupferberg ).

Karlberg had on December 1, 1930 358 inhabitants, on 17 May 1939 were 382 and on May 22, 1947 only 142 inhabitants.

History

At the site of the present village in 1640 resulted in a hammer mill and at the Kupferberg ore was mined. 1662 founded the landlord Sylvius Nimrod von Württemberg -Teck the place Karlberg, in which ten Hammer people could settle with their families.

Neurodegeneration and Karlberg formed since 1656 with Rautenberg a parish, which had its seat in Rautenberg. From 1726 is 2.5 km away from Karlberg a branch church proven, which was renovated in 1881. 1905 was also a church neurodegeneration.

After the replacement of patrimonial came neurodegeneration from 1850 to the district Bear and 1868 was the incorporation of Karlberg. In 1881, neurodegeneration was given its own village school. In 1939 lived in neurodegeneration with Karlberg 271 people, of whom 269 Catholics and Protestants 2. The inhabitants of the place almost all worked in the copper hammer, besides also agriculture was operated. On 1 December 1930, the village had 261 inhabitants neurodegeneration and on 22 May 1947 were 126 residents. The Germans were expropriated in 1945 and sold. In the 1960s, the incorporation took place after Bruntál; since 1993 Nová Pláň is an independent municipality again. Parts of the village and the district Karlovec was flooded by the dams. From Karlovec only the chapel remains.

Today, the site due to its location at the dam is used almost exclusively for recreational purposes. The copper hammer no longer exists, the largest employer is a forestry operation. The decayed after the Second World War the church was renovated and converted into a hotel restaurant.
